Contemporary Art in the East of Scotland
Morag Muir took a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from 1978 – 1982 at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art
in Dundee where she studied under Alberto Morroco and Dave McClure.
She was awarded Post Diploma in 1983.
Awards include the John Milne Purvis Prize – 1982, Scottish Education Department Major Travelling Scholarship – 1983, and a Scottish Arts Council Bursary for printmaking – 1984.
She has exhibited in numerous venues throughout Scotland and the U.K. including most recently a solo exhibition at Dundee Repertory Theatre and the Pittenweem Arts Festival 2006.
Work and projects include teaching workshops at Seagate Gallery and Printmakers’ Workshop, Dundee; teaching at Duncan of Jordanstone College Children’s Art Classes and at Artists in Schools Project, Fife; full-time printing technician at Duncan of Jordanstone College, University of Dundee 1991 – 1994, and lecturing at Elmwood College, Cupar, Fife.
