Contemporary Art in the East of Scotland
Elizabeth Watson was born at Haddo House in Aberdeenshire, She attended Arbroath High School and Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art, from which she graduated in 1964. The same year she attended Hospitalfield Summer
School for Landscape Painting, and there followed exhibitions in Angus and further afield.
She carried out private commissions throughout the 1970’s, besides working as a private tutor for schoolchildren,
and holding classes in Landscape Painting.
More exhibitions followed during the 1990’s, including a one-woman show in Arbroath and another in Vienna, which featured
Scottish Landscapes and Pictish Stones.
